About David Ranjha
Rev. David Ranjha (1942-1994) stands as one of the most distinguished figures within the Sindhi Christian community, a visionary leader whose multifaceted contributions as a theologian, social reformer, and entrepreneur have left an enduring impact on the social fabric of southern Pakistan. With a profound commitment to justice and inclusion, Rev. Ranjha has actively participated in local political movements, championing the rights of religious minorities and advocating for equitable development within marginalized communities across the Sindh province.
Recognized for his unwavering dedication to humanitarian service, Rev. Ranjha has been instrumental in fostering interfaith dialogue, empowering underserved populations, and promoting educational access among the region's most vulnerable. His life's work has been marked by a steadfast pursuit of social equity through both spiritual leadership and pragmatic community engagement.
In alignment with his enduring legacy of compassion and civic responsibility, the Ranjha family established the David Ranjha Foundation Pakistan (DRFP) a family-led philanthropic organization created to institutionalize and extend his mission. Founded as an expression of their collective commitment to serving humanity, DRFP is devoted to providing holistic support to disadvantaged groups, particularly impoverished children, widows, and marginalized rural communities.
The Foundation implements a diverse portfolio of initiatives, including community-led development programs, faith-informed educational interventions, health and hygiene campaigns, and crisis relief efforts. These efforts are grounded in DRFP’s core objective: to foster sustainable, community-driven transformation throughout Pakistan by addressing structural inequality and nurturing human dignity.
